Famous hacker claims that Australians are “the stupidest humans alive” and the easiest to hack

As he reveals how cyber gangs attack people and organizations with no guilt, a hacker believes that Australians are the easiest targets and the “stupidest humans alive.” He also calls them the “easiest humans to hack.” In recent years, there has been an increase in the frequency of online attacks carried out against Australians, the majority of which can be traced back to criminal organizations based in Russia.

In 2016, Medibank was the victim of Australia’s greatest data breach to that point, with the personal information of millions of Australians being made available on the dark web.In October, hackers from Russia attacked Medibank, seizing millions of confidential health information and demanding a ransom payment of $US10million ($A15million) from the corporation. If the ransom was not paid, the hacking gang threatened to publish everything online. The ransom demand was rejected by Medibank, which is Australia’s most prominent provider of private medical insurance. The cybercriminals followed through with their threat and published on the dark web the confidential health claims and personal information of at least 10 million clients. The police have been tight-lipped about who was responsible for the attack; nevertheless, security experts have been able to link it back to REvil, which is known for being one of the most renowned and effective cyber gangs that has ever existed.

One hacker who has worked extensively with REvil and is known online as ‘Kerasid’ said that he likes holding data for ransom and that he believes Australians to be the most easily exploitable victims due to their ignorance. According to what he said to ABC News, “It’s a feeling of being on top of the world as if nobody can touch you.”

“Australians are the most stupidest humans alive, and they have a lot of money for no reason, a lot of money and no sense at all,” the saying goes. “Australians have a lot of money and no sense at all.”

REvil is a sophisticated organization with the objective of obtaining the most amount of ransom money possible by using hackers who are referred to as “affiliates” and paying them to break into organizations. Kerasid says that he is a prominent leader in REvil and that he has earned millions of dollars through hacking. He also claims that he can easily travel between eastern Europe and the UK.

Ransomware Evil, sometimes known as REvil, is a cybercriminal organization that has been responsible for hundreds of cyberattacks in 2020 and 2021, which have earned them more than US$200 million.

According to the most recent study published , in 2022, residents of Australia lost a record $3 billion to con artists, with the average victim parting with $20,000 of their hard-earned money.

When compared to the previous year, this represents a cumulative rise in losses that is 80 percentage points higher.
